Free Legal Support Terms & Conditions

  1. About the service

    FinUA provides short, anonymous and free-of-charge / cost-free legal consultations through volunteer lawyers educated in Ukraine. The information you receive is for reference only and does not create an attorney-client relationship.

  2. Response time

    After you submit a request, a volunteer lawyer will contact you within two to fifteen (2–15) calendar days.

  3. Confidentiality and cost

    All conversations are confidential, and all one-off consultations are free of charge.

  4. Who are our volunteer lawyers?

    They are Ukrainian and Finnish legal professionals who donate their time and expertise.

    Information is provided “as is” without any warranty of completeness (and/or accuracy). FinUA and its volunteers are not liable for any loss or damage arising from reliance on the consultations offered. All decisions remain your responsibility.

  1. Initial intake and clarification – secure form plus, if needed, an email / phone / video call (15–20 minutes) to understand your situation fully.
  2. Written legal opinion – a clear, personalised summary of your situation with next steps and legal advice. No jargon – just what you need to know.
  3. Templates or drafts – ready-to-use or pre-filled documents (appeal, complaint, formal letter, etc.).
  4. Document review – careful review of relevant documents (volume set by the specialist). May include lease agreements, official decisions, fines or contracts.
  5. Follow-up questions – you may ask additional questions within a few days of receiving our answer.
  6. Multilingual support – help with Finnish-language documents if you are unsure how to understand them / help with translation.
